Elizabeth "Liz" J. Bower

Elizabeth “Liz” J. Bower (Carlson), 76,of Maple Grove passed away on October 12, 2024. 

She is survived by her daughters Tracy Schopf (Jeremy) and Jessica Quinn (Patrick) along with grandchildren Chris, Nick, Sami, Abby, and Kate and many friends. Liz was born on August 4, 1948 to Marvel (Nelson) & Raymond Carlson in Minneapolis. She was predeceased by her husband Dennis “Bud” Bower of over 35 years in 2004. 

Liz retired from Honeywell in Golden Valley where she worked for over 30 years. She was a master in the kitchen with cooking and baking skills that were appreciated at every holiday and family meal. Liz enjoyed taking cruises with friends and family, country music, casinos and bingo, playing cards and dominos, spending time with her grandchildren and family gatherings. When her daughters were young, her and Bud enjoyed taking family road trips to visit friends and family in Colorado and California. She was an avid gardener and was known for her raspberry bushes and her love for her flowers. 

Visitation & memorial service to be held at the Gearty-Delmore Plymouth Chapel, 37th Ave and Vicksburg Lane October 24, from 4-7pm with interment at Rush Creek Cemetery on October 25 at 3pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the American Stroke Association or the Alzheimer's Association.
