Elinor Lehse, age 97 of St. Louis Park, MN passed away Saturday, December 5 th , 2020.
Elinor lived life to the fullest, enjoyed her seven kids, 29 grandchildren, and 38 great-grandchildren above everything. She worked for Kinney Shoes, J. Riggins, & NW Racquet & Swim club, Reese’s Restaurant and Mr. Q’s in St. Louis park; she worked until she was 82 and finally, she agreed to slow down on one condition: That she could vacation a lot where there was lots of pools and oceans…she loved to swim! Her beloved husband, Robert passed away in 2015. Before that, they spent lots of summertime at their cabin by Big Sandy Lake in McGregor, MN. She loved her pontoon boat and ever since the days of swimsuit competitions in her late teens, you could not keep her out of the water! During those early days before WW2, she was “Miss Consolidated Freightways”, “Miss Pacific Intermountain Express”, and Miss Minneapolis. She did Radio Commercials in the 40’s, and she also loved to sing & act, and was part of the “Manor Tones” in St. Louis Pk. She was also a member of Laurel and Hardy Sons of the dessert club!
She was preceded in death by her 1 st husband, Ted Dobbelmann in 1958; 2 nd husband, Robert Lehse in 2015; her two sisters, Marian & Kathryn; her parents, William Earl & Tilla Colman; and her beloved grandson, Steven.
She is survived by her 7 children, Theodore, Darrell (Ellen), Steven (Debbie), David, Cheryl (Don), Luana (David), Robert Jr.; as well as the aforementioned multitude of grandchildren and great grandchildren! Graveside memorial on Friday, Dec. 11 th at 11:30. Viewable on “Facebook Live”.
