Eleanore R. Florek
Eleanore Rita (Secora) Florek of St. Therese, New Hope, passed away peacefully on Wednesday October 24, 2018 with her son Randy Florek and his wife Margaret at her side. Eleanore was born on December 1, 1925 to Louis and Margaret (Gnitka) Secora in Montrose, Minnesota. She married Eugene Florek at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Waverly, Minnesota, on June 27, 1944. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband on May 17, 1985, their daughter Deborah, her brother Raymond Secora, daughter-in-law Carol Ann Florek and son-in-law Ken Swalinkavich. She is survived by her children Eunice Swalinkavich, Randy (Margaret) Florek, Christine (Ken) Wilson and Paul (Jean) Florek, 7 grandchildren, 2 step grandsons, 15 great grandchildren, her three sisters, Gerry (Ozzie) Lowe, Eileen (Bob) Gretch, Barbara (Jerry) McClung and sister-in-law Dolly Secora, many nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. She will be greatly missed by all those who love her. Eleanore’s funeral will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at The Church of the Sacred Heart, 4087 West Broadway, Robbinsdale, MN 55422. A Rosary will be said at 9:00 A.M. with public visitation following from 9:30 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. and Mass of Christian burial at 11:00 A.M. A luncheon will follow. Eleanore’s graveside service will occur following the luncheon at St. Joseph’s Catholic cemetery in Delano, MN next to her beloved husband, Eugene W. Florek. The entries to the church and parking lot are handicap accessible and on one level. Memorials may be made to The Church of The Sacred Heart Catholic School.
