Elaine E. Berry

Elaine E. Berry age 96 of Crystal, passed away August 12, 2020, peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family.

She is preceded in death by her husband, William; parents, Lena and Arthur Rettmer; brother, Con Rettmer; granddaughter, Lorna Moody and son-in-law, Merlyn Moody.

Survived by her daughter, Marla Moody; sons, Thomas (Kathy) and Don; grandchildren, Brenna Moody and Jordon Berry; great-grandchildren, Jessa, Trynity, Kaleb and Skylar; great-great-granddaughter, Ella; sister, Jeanne Mummert; nieces, nephews and friends.

Elaine was born July 1, 1924 in Tracy, Minnesota where she was baptized and confirmed at the Tracy Lutheran Church.  She graduated from Tracy High School in 1942. She began her career at North Western Bell Telephone in Tracy and then in Red Wing.  She returned to work in 1976 and retired from US West in 1989.

She enjoyed spending time in Colorado with Tom, Kathy and Jordan.  Elaine made many trips with the Elim Leisure Age to Europe and Hawaii.  She was active in the many Elim groups and the Telephone Pioneers, especially the Hug-A-Bear project for over 30 years.  She entertained at the lake with her many church and telephone company friends.  Summer time at Whitefish Lake created so many memories of the grandchildren and great-grandchildren at the lake.

A memorial service for Elaine will be take place at a later time.
