Edwin R. Brenna

Edwin R. Brenna, of Medicine Lake, born 4/26/23, passed away 5/06/22.

He was preceded in death by wife, Mae; companion and partner of 26 years, Carolyn Hansrude; parents, Soren and Ingrid; brothers, George, Sverre, Clarence and Harold; sister, Lillian Begin; sister-in-law, Kathryn Brenna.

He is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Past Commander of Chester Bird American Legion Post 523, a life member of Golden Valley VFW Post 7051 and a member of the Society of the Third Infantry Division.  A veteran of the Korean War, he served with the 10th Engineer Combat Battalion of the 3rd Infantry Division in 1950 and 1951.  Owned and operated the The Village Café of Golden Valley from 1956 to 1967.  Retired from Despatch Industries as a mechanical designer.

Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Wed. June 1 at Gearty-Delmore Robbinsdale Chapel, 3888 W. Broadway, with visitation one hour prior to the service.

Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
