Edward J. Kintop
1925 to 2019
With a warm smile and a firm handshake, Ed was a great salesman. In his words he never worked a day in his life, loving what he did every day. His career spanned door-to-door magazine sales, managing movie theaters, selling radio, then television commercial time for WTCN and KARE TV. His considerable skills included selling to both Pepsi and Coca-Cola simultaneously.
Ed was proudly involved in several associations including a long-standing membership with Advertising Federation, boasting of a year as treasurer.
After retiring, his desire to connect with people led him to work driving carts at the airport. His riders included Prince and Debbie Reynolds. He loved connecting with people. He did not recognize a stranger, only a friend he had not met. He continued to drive cart until he was in his mid-80’s and his memory issues began. His son Randy chose to be his caregiver enabling him to continue living in his home of fifty years and was by his side when he died.
