Dr. Armando C. Mojica
Dr. Armando C. Mojica, age 91 of Minnetonka, MN passed away Sept 30, 2021.
Armando was born March 31, 1930 in Manila, Philippines to Angel and Eugenia Mojica. He graduated from the University of the Philippines and received his doctorate at Far Eastern University Institute of Medicine. He did his post graduate training in the USA with an internship at Mt. Sinai Hosp. in Milwaukee, WI, a Residency at Mercy Hosp. in Hamilton, Ohio and trained as a chief resident at the University Hospital in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan Canada. He returned to the Philippines in 1962, working in private practice as an OB-GYN for 10 years. In 1972 he moved his family to the United States, eventually working as a General Surgeon at Abbott Northwestern Hosp. in Minneapolis from 1975 until his retirement in 1994.
He is survived by wife, Erlinda; sons, Michael (Lisa) and Armando Jr. (Ria); grandchildren, Evan (Hayley), Thomas, Jonathan, Anna, Katherine, Luis, Nadya and Bianca; siblings, nieces and nephews.
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Friday, Oct 8th with visitation starting at 10 AM at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 155 County Road 24, Wayzata, MN 55391. Interment to follow at St. John's Cemetery in Collegeville, MN 56321. The service will be recorded and a link will be added to this obituary page a few hours following the service.
