Dorothy H. Smude

Dorothy H. Smude, age 88, of Brooklyn Park, formerly of N. Mpls and Breckenridge, MN.

She was preceded in death by husband, Henry “Hank” Smude; granddaughter, Hope Fasching; parents, John and Helen Conzemius; siblings, Janice, Bob and Dave Conzemius.

Dorothy is survived by children, Donald (Rhonda), Mary (Doug) Fasching, Tom (Kelly), Jim (Paula), Kevin (Nancy); grandchildren, Jeremy, Matt, Molly, Rose, Sara, Callie, Lauren, Ben, Katy, Meghan, Elizabeth; great grandchildren, Sam, Jack, Sophia, Lily, Grace; siblings, John Conzemius, Lorraine Shafer, Mike Conzemius; also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Dorothy was a long time registered nurse, retired from St. Olaf Care Center and an active member of St. Bridget’s Church Community. Dorothy was well known for her wonderful baking, gardening and later in life for her daily neighborhood walks. Dorothy had unending love for her family, friends and her faith. Most importantly Dorothy was a hard-working caregiver, living her natural vocation.

Thanks to all who cared for mom in her final years.

Prayer service at 7:30 PM.
