Dorothy Roser

Dorothy Mary (Healey) Roser, age 85, died peacefully surrounded by loved ones at Sunrise Care Center of Golden Valley, MN on Friday, April 8th.

Dorothy was born in Teaneck, NJ to John and Bernadette Healey.  She was raised in Bogota, NJ and graduated Bogota High School in 1947.  Dorothy worked for General Motors Overseas Division, New York where she met Al Roser and was married in 1953.  Dorothy and Al raised their children in Cresskill, NJ and Rochester Hills, MI.

Preceded in death her husband Albert, her brothers John Jr. and Francis and her sister Mary.  Survived by her children James (Lyndie), William (Gail), Paul (Pat), John, Lorraine, Robert (Paula), RuthAnn (Ron), Michele (Jim), Susan; her grandchildren Shayna, Alexander, Nicole, Bridget, Thomas, Anastasia, Molly Rose, Macey; her great-grandchildren Lianni, Robert and Dakota.

Dorothy was an incredible woman who was loved by many!  She devoted her entire life to raising children and loved being active as a boy scout and girl scout leader, classroom mom, and school volunteer.  She was a devout Catholic who enjoyed staying active in many ministries at her parish communities.  Dorothy will be most remembered as a loving, generous, happy "mother" to everyone whose life she touched!

The family is deeply grateful for the tremendous care and love shown by the very professional staff to Dorothy while at Sunrise Care Center of Golden Valley.  Park Nicolette Hospice Care was extremely caring to Dorothy and the family during her final journey.

The Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Monday evening at 7:00 PM at St. Joseph the Worker Church, 7180 Hemlock Lane North, Maple Grove, MN.  The Roser family will receive family and friends from 6 pm to 7 pm prior to Mass at St. Joseph the Worker Church.
