Dorothy Waldmann Gruidl, age 95, a woman of deep faith and longtime member of St. Agnes (St. Paul) and St. Anne’s (Minneapolis) Catholic Churches.
Dorothy was born 8/17/21, always proud to share her birth location on the banks of the Mississippi River in NE Minneapolis. After graduating from the College of St. Catherine, she taught music in Hackensack, Melrose, St. Paul, and Dundee, Scotland as a Fulbright Exchange Teacher. Upon retiring from St. Paul Public Schools, Dorothy volunteered teaching music at St. Anne’s School in north Minneapolis. Music of all sorts and sources filled her time as well as painting with watercolors.
Dorothy is survived by daughters Mollie Tobias (Richard), Beth-Anne Rowe (Dave) and 6 grandchildren.
Visitation Friday, Dec. 30, 4-7pm at Gearty-Delmore, 3888 West Broadway, Robbinsdale and Saturday, Dec. 31, beginning 9:30 a.m. at the Church of St. Agnes, 535 Thomas Ave. W., St. Paul, MN. Funeral mass, 10:30, with burial to follow.
Memorials to the Church of St. Agnes or the Church of St. Anne.
Rosary at 6:30 pm.
Visitation one hour prior to Mass (9:30 am).
