Age 89, of Maple Grove, July 1, 2019. Loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, passed away at North Memorial Hospital, and joined the Lord and her beloved husband and family members. Dorothy Mae Brown (Braun) was born on October 29, 1929 in Renville County Minnesota to Anton  J.(Tony) and Lena E. Brown.

She grew up on family farms in Birch Cooley Township, Renville County, Minnesota, near Franklin, during the great depression and World War II.

Dorothy graduated Franklin High School in 1947, class of 22. She was class salutatorian, president, and homecoming queen.

She attended Minneapolis Business College in 1947-48 and later was employed in a Minneapolis business as a bookkeeper-secretary. She married Dick Caron at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Franklin Minnesota on October 29, 1949. Dick was a private in the U.S, Army and they were stationed at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. After Dick was discharged from the Army they moved to Minneapolis.

Dorothy and Dick lovingly raised their seven children together and were married and beloved partners for 61 years. In 1956 they purchased a home in Brooklyn Park where they resided for 55 years. Dorothy was a homemaker for over 65 years. Dorothy shared her gift of hospitality with family and friends. She enjoyed gardening, travel, playing cards, dancing, and visiting family and friends. For many years Dorothy and Dick had a large group of friends and neighbors that they shared many events with. When Dick retired in 1987, he and Dorothy enjoyed travel and visiting their children and grandchildren. Dorothy was a devoted Christian all her life and was very committed to the life of the Church. She and Dick were volunteers for the Billy Graham Association and the Bibles for Missions Thrift Center in Robbinsdale.

She is survived by sons, Steven Anthony, Richard Douglas (Rick), Bruce Allen (Neria), Mark Bradley (Wendy); daughters, Renee Caron Roeschley (Curt), Lori Ann Pallo; Janet Marie Preese (David); 9 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and friends. Preceded in death by her husband, parents, sisters Lucille, Luella and Ruth.

Funeral 11 am Saturday July 6 at Gearty-Delmore Robbinsdale Chapel, 39 th and West Broadway. Visitation at 10 am. Private interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery

Memorials preferred to Church of the Open Door, Maple Grove, MN or Bibles for Missions Thrift Store, Crystal, MN
