Doris Ekrem was born April 4, 1926 in North East Minneapolis to Zaka and Nesralla Nasser. She married her beloved husband Roy November 19, 1945 in Alaska where he was serving during WWII.
Doris was passionate about her faith in Jesus, her family and her Lebanese heritage. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt. Doris created a welcoming home for her family and friends. She fed, nurtured, and nursed them with a selfless heart. Her nieces and nephews considered her home their second home and no one ever left her home empty handed. Doris had a wonderful sense of humor, she loved life and everyone loved her. She was the queen of bingo and garage sales.
Doris was preceded in death by her husband Roy, her granddaughter Laura, her brother Tom, brother-in-law Henry Lally, sisters Alice (Gil) and Janette (Red). She is survived by her sons, Martin (Myra) and Dennis (Sher). Granddaughters Lisa and Kim (Andrew). Grandson Chris (Lindsey) and great grandchildren Brianna and Grayson. Doris is also survived by her sister Maime and brother Duane (Elizabeth) and many nieces, nephews and friends. Private services and interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. She will be forever missed.
