Donna R. Bedin (nee Fredrickson) McCollor

Donna died at home at the age of 76 on July 31, 2021.  She is survived by her husband, Bob McCollor; sister, Diane Thorson; brother, Dale (Diane) Fredrickson; sister-in-law, Joyce Fredrickson; nine nieces and nephews and Nana to Bob’s seven grandchildren whom she thought were exceptional.

She attended the U of M after Robbinsdale High School.  Later she passed the CPA exam after attending Metro State University.

Donna attended Zion Lutheran Church and River of Life Lutheran Church, both in North Minneapolis.

She worked at Hennepin County in child welfare for 30 years, prepared income taxes for 20 years and helped raise the grandchildren.  Donna was part of a women’s bridge group for 50 years who were on national TV with Ann Curry to talk about how friendships help people deal with adversity and they have certainly helped her in her struggle with cancer.

Donna made several trips to Europe and one to see the animals in South Africa which culminated with a visit to Liberia.
