Donna Marie Fadgen

Donna Marie Fadgen (nee Nielsen), age 93, of Minneapolis, formerly of Huron, South Dakota, passed away April 1, 2021.

She is preceded in death by parents Peter Martin Nielsen and Mathilda Nielsen (nee Hendrickson), husband of 66 years Richard (Dick) Fadgen, and sister Ruth Klein.

She will be missed by children Nancy Stanforth, Pamela (Kevin) Johnson, and Rick (Pat) Fadgen; grandchildren Anne Nonnemacher (Louis Brown), Melissa Nonnemacher (Brian Uhlhorn), Joseph Fadgen, and Daniel Fadgen; and by great-grandchildren Gwendolyn Uhlhorn and Elliot Brown.

Donna and Dick farmed in Flandreau, SD and then moved to Huron, SD where Dick was a county extension agent. In 2009 they moved to Minneapolis to be close to family.

Donna was an expert seamstress, quilter, and embroiderer. She was also an avid reader and active volunteer. Over the years she was active with the Sons of Norway, Extension Club, Meals on Wheels, and tutoring adults to read.
