Beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Donna (95) went peacefully to Heaven on May 15, 2023, into the loving arms of husband Jack and son Jeffrey. Daughter of Harold and Irene, Donna was one of four sisters raised in Minneapolis and a graduate of Patrick Henry High School.

At the age of 20, while out with a friend, Donna and Jack’s paths first crossed when Jack spotted Donna and joined her for a walk. After going their separate ways for a few months, God intervened as friends introduced Jack and Donna yet again on a blind date. So began a loving, inseparable 73 years together.

Donna will be remembered for her caring, compassionate, and nurturing love for her family, which she instilled in all of us. Always kind and encouraging, Donna also showed her love through baked goods, including her after-Thanksgiving cinnamon pie rollups and freshly baked chocolate chip cookies, always stacked neatly on the kitchen table after school. Her care for others and positive attitude will eternally inspire us.

An avid bowler in multiple leagues, New Hope Bowl was a second home for her for many years. Donna was also a great golfer, enjoying the sport with friends, new and old.

Donna is survived and celebrated by her three sons Doug (Laura), David (Nancy), Jay (Jackie), and daughter-in-law Kay. She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, sister Marlys, and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at Gearty Delmore Plymouth Chapel on Monday, June 5 with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM and service at 11:00 AM, followed by a private burial.
