Poole, Donald Murray

June 2, 1951 – December 31, 2023

Born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada as the youngest of seven to Joseph (“Mac”) Poole & his wife Roby. He attended Grand Rapids School of the Bible & Music (GRSBM) for Pastoral Studies 1974-1977. He married the love of his life Ginny Chinn on August 9, 1975. They went on to be missionaries at Jack & Jill Bible Camp (part of the Bible Club Movement) in Cedar Springs, Michigan until coming to Minneapolis in 1978. Don worked for over 20 years for the Plymouth plant Honeywell as well as Rick’s SuperValu for a second job from the late 80s through the 90s.

He was known by all first as a servant of his Lord and Savior, an excellent student of God’s Word, and a MN sports fan. He was a father to many who felt abandoned or in need of a father figure. There was always room for one more in his family.

Don left this earth and went to be with his Lord and Savior surrounded by his loving and devoted wife, Ginny, and his three children as they prayed for peaceful passing for him and strength for them to endure.

He is preceded in death by his parents; five of his six siblings, and one of his grandsons (Dylan Flam-Poole). He is survived by his wife Ginny (Chinn), his three children, five grandchildren, at least six “adopted” children, four “adopted” grandchildren, his sister Linda Groves, nieces, nephews, his cat Kiki, and many friends who loved him.

Funeral service 11 AM Friday, Jan. 5, with visitation one hour before, at Fourth Baptist Church, 900 Forestview Ln. N, Plymouth. Visitation also 5-8 PM Thursday, Jan. 4 at Gearty-Delmore Plymouth Chapel, 15800 37th Ave. N. Interment Lewis Cemetery, Independence.
