Donald Russell Johnson

81, of Eden Prairie, MN, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 24, 2025, at Hennepin County Medical Center.

Born on January 26, 1944, in Minneapolis, MN, Don attended Patrick Henry High School and later studied at Mankato State University. He was a devoted husband and father, an avid Minnesota Vikings fan, and an active member of the Eden Prairie Lions Club and Eden Prairie HAM Radio Club.

Don is survived by his sons, Chris and Mark and stepchildren, Sam, Abbi and Ben. He was preceded in death by his beloved wives, Cindy and Patty.

Don’s internment and prayers will be held on April 24, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. at Holy Name Cemetery (52 County Road 24 Wayzata, MN 55391) officiated by Minister Paul Nelson of Emmanuel Lutheran. A celebration of life and reception will follow at the Hamel Community Center (3200 Mill St, Hamel, MN 55340). Arrangements are being handled by Gearty-Delmore.
