Donald H. Beck

age 96 of Brooklyn Park, passed away peacefully in his sleep on February 12, 2025.

Born October 13, 1928, in Clear Lake, MN, Don grew up on the family farm with his siblings George, Ruth, Barbara, and Robert. He earned an engineering degree from the University of Minnesota and spent his entire career at Honeywell, retiring in 1988.

Retirement brought new adventures—he built a home and managed a tree farm in Luck, WI, where he created trails for hunting and making maple syrup. He loved his John Deere tractors, crossword puzzles, woodworking, reading, and smoking his pipe. But above all, his heart belonged to his family, his farm, and “The Woods.”

Don is survived by his wife of 72 years Shirley. Daughters Lori (Tim) Dolan, Nancy (Kevin) Erdman and Debbie (Mark) Blake; 12 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; brother-in-law Jerry Unger; sister-in-law Erma Beck; numerous cousins nieces, and nephews.  

Visitation on Monday February 17th from 1-2:30 pm; prayer service at 2:30 pm at Gearty-Delmore Robbinsdale Chapel, 3888 W. Broadway, Robbinsdale, MN 55422. Private burial at Gethsemane. Memorials to St. Alphonsus Church, Brooklyn Center, MN or to donor’s choice.
