Dona M. Peterson

Peterson, Dona M., of Golden Valley.  Affectionately known as “Dibba” and “Princess” passed away May 3, 2019, in Rogers, MN.  Preceded in death by beloved husband of 60 years, Harry C. Peterson; parents, Oscar William Erickson and Emma Rodina Sparley Erickson; brothers, Lee and William; sisters, Arline “Ricky” Everett and Dorothy “Red” Knudson.  Beloved mother of Bradley (Janet) of Columbus, OH, Blake (Carmen) of Murphy, TX, Blair (Nancy) of Crystal and Barbara of Crystal.  Grandmother of Brandon, Evan, Erika (John), Elizabeth (Aaron), Ellyn, Andrew (Katie), Brandon and Samuel (Shanika); great-grandmother of Christopher, Aden, Emory, Samoun, Elijah, Noah and Zoey.  Also survived by nieces, nephews, and many loving friends.  Dona was a longtime member of the Church of St. Mary of the Lake in Plymouth and a retiree of Travelers Express/MoneyGram.  Dona’s family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks for the loving care she received from the Wellstead of Rogers, Brookdale Hospice, and Dr. Ashley of Apple Tree Dental.  Special thanks to Fr. Curtis Lybarger and Theresemarie Johnson of St. Mary of the Lake for their pastoral care and support.  Dona will be remembered for her love, her faith, her joy, her strength, her humor, her generosity, and her care for everyone she met. She brought sunshine to everyone with a kind word, a smile or a song.

Mass of Christian Burial Monday (5/13), 11 AM at the Church of St. Mary of the Lake, 105 No. Forestview Lane, Plymouth.  Interment 3:30 PM at Calvary Cemetery, Red Wing.  Visitation Sunday (5/12), 3-5 PM at Gearty-Delmore Plymouth Chapel, 15800 37 ^th Ave. No., Plymouth and one hour before the Mass at the church.   Memorials preferred to the Alzheimer’s Association (Minnesota-N. Dakota Chapter).
