Dolores Garrity “Dee”
Believer in Jesus Christ, passed away peacefully at her home in Plymouth on July 28, 2018, at age 79. Dee was born May 28, 1939 to Leslie and Dolores Tester of Waconia. She was a 1957 graduate of Waconia High School and in 1961 graduated from the University of MN with a B.A. in education. Because of her strong faith, Dee faced death with grace and dignity. She comforted those around her with the joyful anticipation of being with her Lord and Savior. She was an avid reader, critical thinker, and direct communicator who shared her honest opinions with those she loved.
Dee was preceded in death by husband, William Garrity in 1991; former husband, Ronald Notermann in 1996; son, John Notermann; her parents; sisters, Mary Alice Cullen and Patty Kirsch; brother, Dr. David Tester; brothers-in-law, Dr. Joseph Cullen and Merrill Kirsch. She is loved and will be dearly missed by her children, Chuck (Stef) Notermann, Anne (Doug) Ducharme, Mark (Jurina) Notermann; daughter-in-law, Brenda Notermann; grandchildren, Daniel and Michael Ducharme, Grey, Cole, Win and Mika Notermann; sisters, Jane (Dr. Mark) Juetten and Susan Cullen; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Tester; also survived by many nieces, nephew and loving friends and neighbors.
Funeral Service 11 am Monday, August 6 at Gearty-Delmore Plymouth Chapel, 15800 37th Ave. N. Visitation 1 hour prior to service. Continue celebrating Dee’s life with a reception at Medina Golf & Country Club immediately following her service. Private entombment at Lakewood Mausoleum. If desired, memorials may be directed to Union Gospel Mission.
