Dennis W. Westly

Dennis Westly, age 74 of Plymouth MN passed away Dec 14, 2020 from complications of cancer. Dennis was born July 22,1946 to Conrad & Merileen of Pipestone.

Dennis joined the USAF in July of 1964. He served in Alaska, California, Vietnam, Thailand, & Taiwan.  He worked for Carson Pirie Scott for 32 years as warehouseman & city truck driver.   After retiring Dennis worked for many years as an usher for the Twins and bus driver for Holiday Inn.   Lifetime member of the West Metro/G.V. VFW Post 7051, serving as Commander, Chaplain, and a member of the VFW Ritual Rifle Squad.   Lifetime member of KC Fr Wm Blum Council 3656.

Survived by Geri, his wife of 45 years; daughters Angela (Michael Lucero), Lisa (Matt) Dittberner and grandchildren Westly, Sydney, Jack & Landon; brothers Dale (Linda), Duane (Melanie), & Mark Westley; sisters Janice VanRockel, Tam Thompson, Teresa (Matt) Mattson & many beloved in-laws, nieces & nephews.  Preceded in death by his parents, siblings: Janet, Deb, Darrell, David, brothers-in-laws: Eugene Klein, Willis Van Rockel, Brian Miller, Les Perry, and David Schmitz.

A private funeral will be held with immediate family.  Burial Services later this summer.  In lieu of flowers please send Memorials to West Metro VFW.
