Dennis O'Connor

O’Connor, Dennis, age 82, of New Hope, died peacefully at home surrounded by family. Born April 2, 1934 in Emporia, Kansas, to John and Genevieve O’Connor. Preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Jack and Pat. Married for 59 years to the love of his life, Maureen White O’Connor. Denny grew up in Kansas City, Missouri; graduated from Rockhurst High School; received his bachelor in engineering from KU, and his MBA from UMKC. Served two years in the Marines. Denny and Maureen moved their family to Minneapolis in 1966 to start a career with Honeywell. Denny and Maureen were very active in the parish community of Most Holy Trinity, and with Retrouvaille. Denny will be fondly remembered as a gentle and caring man, whose faith and family were most important to him. In addition to his wife Maureen, Denny is survived by his children Patty Kelley (Jim), Mary Bauer (Jeff), Michelle Lukkasson (Jerry), Kevin (Lori), Sean, and (adopted) daughter Marie Radachovsky. Also survived by his seven grandchildren Jill Heath (Jason), Kristin Bauer (Emmett Potter),  Jared Sarkis, Justin Sarkis, Ryan (Abbey), Kelly, and Liam. Great grandchildren Lilliana, Isabella, Sydney, and Lucas. He is also survived by his siblings Jim (Mary), Kareen Wormington, Sharon (Paul) Potts, and Beth (Roger) Tilling. Denny is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Memorials preferred to Retrouvaille, or St. Therese of New Hope. Special appreciation to Methodist Hospice as well as the staff and community of St. Therese.
