Dennis L. “Denny” Huston, 90, of Crystal, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 8, 2020.
Denny was born and raised in Duluth, MN to parents Robert and Emma. He worked as a Chemical and Metallurgical Technician for Honeywell, retiring from Alliant Tech Systems in 1992. Following his retirement, he worked for 20 years as a “Branch Manager” at the Minikahda Golf Club. Denny was a past Commander of the Duluth VFW Post 1217, a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus Council 3656, the Knights of Columbus Male Chorus, and the Robbinsdale City Band. Denny volunteered at Northridge Care Center and Dinner at Your Door, and he was also a member of the New Hope Alano.
Denny is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Joan; children, Tim (Susan) and Kathy (Jim) Mara; grandchildren, Marit (Brian), Andrew (Maureen), Emma and Izzy; three great granddaughters, Addison, Eleanor and Everin; a sister-in-law Carole (Wayne); cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Emma and siblings, Bob, Marian and Arlene.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday September 14th at the Church of St. Raphael, 7301 Bass Lake Road, Crystal, with interment following at Gethsemane Cemetery.
Visitation at 9:30 a.m. prior to mass at church. COVID-19 protocols and social distancing will be observed and masks are required.
Memorials are preferred.
