David Kenneth Dallin, 93, of Brooklyn Park peacefully passed away on February 12, 2022 with his family by his side.
Kenny is survived by Nancy Dallin(Jan Wolfe), Jim(Jeannine)Dallin, John (Sharon) Dwyer, Theresa Mancuso, Tim (Robbin) Dwyer, Kathleen Dwyer, Daniel (Wanda)Dwyer, Colleen ( Eric) Frietag, Lona’s children; all grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by father Ernst Dallin, mother Una Dallin, brothers Gordon and Lionel Dallin, sister Ivy Stanton and his wives Delila Dallin, Lona Dallin and Mary Dallin.
Born June 20th 1928 in Golden Valley, Minnesota. He was the fourth child of Ernest and Una Dallin. He grew up in Rush City, Minnesota where he also attended high school. After his education he enlisted in the Navy and served during World War 2. After returning from his tour of service he met Delila at The Church of the Open Door where they were married and had two children Jim and Nancy. He was employed at Wonder Bread for a short time and then started his long career at the Soo Line Railroad which he loved and he retired in 1988. He was very active with the Revive Church where he became an usher and he had a great love for his church family. He also had a love for the great outdoors and would fish and hunt when he had the chance. For many years the family went to Jack Pine Lodge in Ely Minnesota for their vacations. He loved gardening and you could always find a beautiful flower and vegetable garden in his yard. He spent many hours in his garage with projects such as building doll houses, and bird houses and he enjoyed fixing things. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was happily married to 3 wonderful women, Delila, Lona, and Mary. He will be greatly missed.
Public visitation will be from 5:00 to 6:00 pm Friday, February 18th, followed by funeral service from 6:00 to 7:00 pm at Gearty Delmore Funeral Chapel, 3888 W Broadway Ave, Robbinsdale MN 55422. Masks and social distancing are required. Burial will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery Monday, February 21 at 11:00 am. Memorials preferred to the church of Revive Church of Brooklyn Park.
