Daniel Joseph Gionet

Daniel Joseph Gionet, b eloved father, husband, brother, son, and friend to many, passed away at age 56 on December 31, 2020, surrounded by his loving family.

Preceded in death by his mother, Mary.

Survived by his caring wife, Andrea; sons, Zachary and Nicholas; father, Joseph (Janice Juneau); sister, Michelle (Robert) Lambus; nephews, Dakota and A.J.; godmother, Catherine Olinger; and many other relatives.

Graduate of St. Louis Park high school, he went on to receive his undergraduate degrees from his cherished St. Olaf College, an MBA from University of St. Thomas, and graduate degree from Pacific Coast Banking School. Following in his parents’ footsteps, Dan was an employee of the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis for 30 years.

He loved life and had a firm belief of what was important; time spent with family and friends. He had a special devotion to his sons and expressed to them the importance of hard work and being a leader. Whether at the ice rink or ball field, Dan spent countless hours playing, coaching, and sharing his love of the game. He was passionate about rollerblading, crossword puzzles and always enjoyed a good party. Those close to him knew him as a man of great integrity and generosity. He will best be remembered for his bright smile, quick wit, and contagious laugh.

Visitation Saturday, January 9th from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at Gearty-Delmore Park Chapel, 3960 Wooddale Avenue South, St. Louis Park with procession leaving for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 5071 Eden Avenue, Edina.

Interment Lakewood Cemetery.
