Dani R. Detloff

Dani Rebecca Detloff
age 23 formerly of Elk River, died March 9, 2018 as a result of a motor vehicle accident involving a drunk driver.

Dani was born in Minneapolis on April 6, 1994. She attended Elk River High School Where she was a member of the track and basketball teams. She also attended Bemidji State University. Dani recently moved to Backus, MN.

D ani is survived by her dad, Daniel Detloff (fiancee’ Maggie Proft), sister, Molli Detloff (Fiance’ AJ Belanger), and brother, Connor Detloff. She is preceded in death by her mother, Kristi Slaughter.
She is also survived by paternal grandparents, Barbara Detloff and William Detloff and Maternal grandparents, Becky Lundberg (Mark) and Jim and Debra Hamilton. In addition to her Godmother, Debra Detloff Johnson Dani is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

Dani loved the outdoors. She especially enjoyed fishing. She also had a great affection for animals, especially her black lab, Daisy and her cat. Dani was a diehard Packers fan too.

She touched many lives during her short time her on earth and she will be greatly missed by all.

We will celebrate her life at a Memorial Mass 11 AM Thursday at the Church of the Sacred Heart, 4087 W. Broadway with visitation beginning at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the family.
