Dale J. Abbe

PLESASE NOTE VISITATION CHANGE

Dale J. Abbe, age 72 of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, went to be with his Lord on December 3, 2021, surrounded by the love of his family. His was known for his faith and his devotion to family. His wit and sense of humor will be missed.

Dale received his Bachelor of Science in Business degree from the University of Minnesota in 1971 and worked in accounting. He eventually moved into computer information systems and worked as a systems analyst/programmer for many years until the effects of Multiple Sclerosis caused his early retirement in 2002. Thereafter, as his health permitted, he enjoyed vacations and trips to visit children and grandchildren, touring the neighborhood on his 3-wheel bike or scooter, and, of course, fishing, which he continued to enjoy through this fall.

Dale is preceded in death by his parents, Roland and Rose (Woida) Abbe. Survived by his wife of 48 years, Bonnie; son John (Stephanie) Abbe, daughter Marilyn (Jared) Ostrem, and son Kenneth (fiancée Shelby) Abbe; grandchildren Annabelle and Christine Abbe and Amanda, Brynn, and Mason Ostrem; many loving cousins; aunts; brother-in-law Russell (Nancy) Rood, nieces and nephews.

Visitation on Sunday, December 12 from 5-7 PM at Gearty-Delmore Robbindale Chapel, 3888 W. Broadway.

Mass of Christian Burial Monday, December 13, 10:30 AM at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 9100 93rd Ave. North, Brooklyn Park 55445, with visitation 1 hour prior to Mass.
