Curtis "Curt" Frederick Truwe

Curt Truwe, age 87, of Plymouth, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2020.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Florence and an infant son, Daniel Richard.

Curt is survived by loving wife of 59 years, Lois; children, Mike (Jolene), Michelle (Lauri), James and Brian (Marilyn); eight grandchildren, Eddie, Ty, Anna, Cole, Zachary, Samuel, Max and Jillian; great granddaughter, Alyssa.

Curt was born in Mayer, MN and spent his childhood on the family farm with his folks and sister, Mavis. After high school he enlisted in the Air Force for 4 years. He saw the world in a whole different perspective and had many stories to share. After the service Curt started working at Northwestern Bank and had a successful career for 25 years. This is where he met that 20 year old beauty Lois, and yes, there were stories on how they met!

After his banking job he started painting homes and enjoyed that work for 10+ years. He enjoyed this and was very meticulous on every task he agreed to do. He was quoted saying, “Do the job right, or don’t do it at all.” One of Dad’s prized possessions was his home, which he spent countless hours working in the yard. The neighbors told him, “it looks like a park!”

He also enjoyed family gatherings, having some rum and cokes, playing cards with his buddies and helping with family projects. He also enjoyed volunteering at Holy Name of Jesus Church and chatting with Deacon Dennis. However, the most important thing to Curt was his family!

He loved his kids, grandkids and great granddaughter!

Curt will be missed. Dad was quoted saying, “Don’t be sad, I’ve lived a full life.”
