Craig W. Schorr

Craig Wray Schorr, age 70, passed away unexpectedly Friday, December 9, 2022, in Plymouth, MN.

On July 7, 1952, Craig was born in Minneapolis. His parents were D. Wray and Patrica Schorr.

Craig grew up in Edina MN and went to Normandale Community College. He was a talented musician and guitar teacher. He loved teaching his students and enjoyed getting to know them and their families. He was a gifted encourager and mentor to many. He was Vice President of the family business, Hiawatha Metalcraft, Inc. and the company meant a lot to him. He married Denise on July 8, 1978, and they were married for 44 years.

Craig deeply loved his wife and daughter and grandson. He was a loving brother, brother-in-law, son-in-law, uncle, and friend. We all benefited from the love he showed us. He was kind, unselfish, a good listener, wise and a joy to be around. There was not a day that passed where he failed to make people laugh, he was quite animated and given a gift for delivering something funny. He was an excellent swimmer, baseball, and frisbee player. He loved a cup of Caribou coffee, pancakes, and chocolate ice cream. working in the yard, home improvement projects, and his dog Booty. His cheerful presence filled the room.

Craig is survived by his loving wife, Denise; loving daughter, Risa (Jesse); Grandson, Harlow; Sister; Sally (Barry); Brothers, Scott (Julianne), Bill; in-laws, Daryl, Duane (Jenny), Doug (Jennifer), Dorene (Dirk), Diane (Scott); many nieces and nephews, and many other friends and family that loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, D. Wray Schorr and Patricia Schorr.

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at Gearty-Delmore Funeral Chapel, 15800 37th Ave North, Plymouth, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Private Interment at Groveland Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
