Claudia R. Johnson
The world lost a brilliant light on June 13, 2020, when Claudia Rae Johnson, 75, passed away at home in Minneapolis following a short illness. A fiercely intelligent and vibrant spirit, she left every place better for having been there and every person smarter for having known her. The world never gave her an easy time and she walked into headwinds every day of her life. She never stopped striding and was strong and brave and kind until the very end. A devoted Baha’i, her faith gave her strength and purpose. She wanted to feed everyone she met, share every bit of knowledge she learned, and beautify every space she occupied. She widened our horizons and changed our perspectives for the better. She is survived by her daughter who was lucky enough to spend every day of the last several years in the company of her amazing mom and best friend, and it was not nearly enough.
The world was better with you here Mom and we were lucky to have you as long as we did. I hope your way is joyous and bright now that your many burdens are lifted. Your love shines on here – thank you for everything.
Graveside service to be held Fri 10 am, Crystal Lake Cemetery. Please meet at the cemetery gate at 9:45.
