Ciaara Estar

Ciaara K. Estar   aka Carol E. Savage
age 65, of Plymouth, MN died August 21, 2018. Preceded in death by her parents John and Katy Savage and by her husband, Jackson D. Rains.

Ciaara won a scholarship at age 15, and studied at United World Colleges, Atlantic College in Wales; she went on to complete her baccalaureate studies at Mt. Holyoke College. After working several years for Cargill, she became a systems analyst for Baxter Travenol, then worked under contract for a number of companies including the MN BCA and Wells Fargo. She and Jackson Rains were married on January 1, 1983, and delighted in their involvement in tai chi, drumming, and various spiritual groups. In addition to being a systems analyst, she became a certified massage therapist, and was much appreciated by her clientele.

She is survived by her step-son, Michael (Jenn) Rains, her sister Ginny (Roger) Beesley, her brothers Grant (Nancy) Savage, Jack (Tina) Savage, and Robert (Melissa) Savage, two step-grandsons and numerous nieces and nephews, as well as her many friends from around the world.

A celebration of her life will be held at noon on November 4, 2018 at the Wood Lake Nature Center, Richfield, MN. Memorials preferred to the Association for Frontal Temporal Degeneration ( www.theaftd.org ) or Cornerstone Assisted Living of Plymouth.
