Chunhui Chen

Chunhui Chen of Plymouth passed away January 19, 2023, age 89, at home surrounded by her loving family.

Chunhui emigrated from a small farming community, Meinung, Taiwan in 1976. She owned Oriental House, Hot Wok, and New Dynasty Chinese restaurants, and retired from the restaurant business in 2004. Her name Chunhui means “spring benevolence”. Those who loved her knew Chunhui as resilient, optimistic, tenacious, humble, gentle, and giving.

Survived by her husband of 67 years, Kwei Tsang; children, Suying (Shirley), Meilan (John Murzyn), Bruce Veinan (Hoa), Mei-Zhe (Wink) Baker; grandchildren, Constance Jen-Shiow (Patrick Johnson), Tony Chen-Koshiol, Yixiu (Daniel Morales), Calvin (Mandy) Thai, Jonathan Thai, Christopher Leuck, Vincent Chen; great-grandchildren, Yen-Liang Chen Johnson, Minh Liang Morales Chen, An-Francis Chen Johnson, Gia Long Morales Chen.

Memorial service Friday January 27, 2023 11 am and Visitation at 10:30 am at Gearty-Delmore Funeral Chapel 15800 37th Ave N, Plymouth, MN 55446. Interment Gethsemane Cemetery.
