Christopher Roe

On February 11, 2025, Christopher “Chris” Roe of Shakopee, MN, entered his heavenly home at the age of 55 after a battle with brain cancer. Chris was the oldest of two children born to Janice and Daniel Roe on February 11, 1970. 

Chris graduated from St Louis Park High School and continued his education at the University of St. Thomas. He married Kelly in 1997 and a few years later, they welcomed their daughter Allison. Throughout their marriage they spent many years at cabins, boating, traveling and enjoying fun adventures with friends and family. Some of Chris’ favorite trips were to national parks and in nature.

He was a great dad to Ally and thoroughly enjoyed everything she was involved in. Whether it was her school activities, hobbies, or passions, he made sure to be there, cheering her on every step of the way. 

Chris loved his job as Regional Vice President of Recruiting for Genesis10 where he led a team of recruiters in IT staffing. Throughout his career, Chris found success first as a recruiter and then eventually coaching and mentoring his team. His work was a great source of pride for him and he hated taking a day off.

Loved ones will remember Chris for his quick wit and having the best laugh. Although he was often an instigator and rule breaker, it was always done in good fun. 

Chris was preceded in death by his mother, Janice Roe and mother-in-law Janet Zahn.

He is survived by his wife, Kelly; daughter Allison; sister Cathy Mace; father Dan (Mary Kay) Roe; father-in-law Ken Zahn; brother-in-law Jeff (Merrilee) Zahn; sister-in-law Kristi (Rob) Thompson; beloved Aunt Judy (Bob) Jacobsen; former brother-in-law Mike Mace; his nieces, nephew, and cousins.

A private memorial service will be held at Lakewood Cemetery in Minneapolis. A celebration of life open house will take place at the Park Tavern in St. Louis Park, MN on March 28, 2025 from 3:00-6:00 pm.
