Charles A. Cook

Charles Arthur (Bud) Cook,
age 89, of  Plymouth, MN. passed away peacefully on November 23, 2017 at his home.

Bud was born on September 25, 1928 to Roy and Grace Cook in Racine, Wisconsin. B ud graduated from Cloquet High School before serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. Upon returning to Minnesota, he met and married Kathleen, his wife of 61 years. Bud worked for 43 years at General Mills before “retiring” to volunteer work with Feed My Starving Children and Interfaith Outreach. He loved to fish and birdwatch when he found the time.

Bud is survived by sons Michael Cook (Stephanie Miller) and Daniel Cook (Susan Kamper), daughters Patricia Bates and Elizabeth Cook. He is also survived by grandchildren Jessica Mol (Caleb), Samantha Rains (Ben), Emily Cook and Kaitlin Cook, great grandchildren Isaac Mol, Alana Mol, and Elliot Rains, by his sisters Lee Pouti and Joan Wuollet, and by many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.

Bud was preceded in death by wife Kathleen, parents Roy and Grace, and siblings Alice Olson, Roy Cook, Gerald Cook and James Cook.

He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Services will be held Weds. November 29, 10:30 AM at The Church of St Joseph the Worker, 7180 Hemlock Lane, Maple Grove.  Visitation 5-7 PM Tuesday Nov. 28 at Gearty-Delmore Plymouth Chapel, 15800 37th Ave N @ Vicksburg Lane and Weds. at church one hour before service. Entombment Gethsemane Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Interfaith Outreach.
