Catherine Laureen Malone

Catherine Laureen Malone, seventy-eight, of Hudson WI, left this earth peacefully on September 22nd, 2020; at Christian Community Home surrounded by her daughters.

She dedicated her life to raising her four children, and enjoyed the reward of watching them raise up their own children. Catherine was a free spirit who loved gardening, exotic animals, and her daughter, Anne’s, homemade Kringle. She will be remembered by how she found beauty in ordinary things and loved to share her sentiments about it.

Preceded in death by her husband Robert E. Malone; granddaughter Rachael Malone; parents Everett Lawrence and Thirza; in-laws Kenneth and Irene Malone, Marilyn Castonguay, John Malone, and Tom Malone; sister Michelle (Mickie) Flanagan.

She is survived by four children, Anne (Andrew) Nelson, Kevin Malone, Erin (Dan) Knuteson, and Molly (Brett) Walek; fifteen grandchildren, Patrick, Matthew (Gloria), Christopher (Rachel), Brian, Emily Anne, Elizabeth, Anna Claire, Caleb, Abigail, Annie Grace, and Elijah Nelson, Ava and Audrey Knuteson, Quinn and Emma Walek; three great-grandchildren, Lilyanne, Presley, and Alexandra; two sisters, Donna Sutter and Patty Shultis; and six half-siblings, Mike Guanella, Mike Gallup, Laura Duncan, Gary Gallup, Dana Gallup, and Sandy Smith.

A special thank you to the Caring staff at Christian Community home, and the hospice team of Lakeview Hospital of Stillwater Minnesota.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the family for the celebration of Catherine’s life.

Visitation Sunday (10/11), 11AM-1PM with prayer service 1PM at Gearty-Delmore Funeral Chapel, 3888 W. Broadway, Robbinsdale, MN.  Interment St. Patrick's Cemetery, Maple Grove.
