Catherine Marie Hampel
passed away peacefully on March 31, 2019 at the age of 90 surrounded by her children. Catherine was born on November 20, 1928 in Oak Park, Illinois. She loved nature, especially watching the birds. But nothing made her happier than spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband Wilbur, parents Patrick and Carmella Doherty, brother Patrick Doherty Jr, sister-in-law Sandra Doherty, and her granddaughter Elizabeth Hampel.
She is survived by her children Cynthia (Russell) Pond, Bruce (Laurie) Hampel, and Nancy DeCamp. Grandchildren Amy Pond, Kristen (Jamie) Waby, Aaron (Kristin) Hampel, Melissa (Aaron) Blicher, and Drew DeCamp. Great- grandchildren Owen, Emma, and Asher Waby, and Brooks Blicher.

Memorial service will take place on Thursday, June 6 at 10:30 a.m. at Summerwood of Plymouth Chapel, 16205 36th Ave N, Plymouth MN. Visitation will precede the service from 9:30-10:30 a.m.
Memorials preferred to The Arbors at Summerwood of Plymouth and Optage Hospice.
Her smiles were legendary to all who knew her.
