Preceded in death by loving husband of 73 years, Jim; parents, Theodore and Anna Myrtle Dye Syverson; and 6 siblings. Survived and missed by son, James (Roberta); daughter, Susan (Bryan) Anderson, 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; many relatives and friends. Carol grew up near Holy Rosary Church and was a graduate of South High School. There she enjoyed studying Norwegian, stenography and home economics, which gave her life-long skills of pie making and sewing. She was an excellent seamstress who made everything from draperies, coats and tailored suits, to pajamas for the grandkids at Christmas. Carol worked at Honeywell during the war years and at Pillsbury Distribution Center in the 1960's and 70's, rising to the rank of computer operator, a challenging position on a huge machine in 1971. Carol was a loving wife and mother and friend to many. She always encouraged her loved ones and took such pride in our accomplishments. We loved and admired her courage and strength to prayerfully meet life's challenges. We miss the sounds of her piano playing, the wonderful smells coming from her kitchen, and her joy in seeing family, especially the grandchildren. Memorials preferred to Our Lady of Grace Church or The Salvation Army.
