Carl J. Carlson
of Brooklyn Park passed away December 29, 2017 at age 85.
He graduated from Patrick Henry High School, served in the US Marines and built a successful business with Visi-Record Systems. Being a life-long lover of music, Carl played the trumpet in the Brooklyn & Richfield Community bands, the Normandale Community College band, the American Legion Band and was inducted into the Evergreen Club of the Twin Cities. He loved to golf, was an avid Minnesota sports fan and a proud Norwegian.
His family was foremost in his heart. He will be deeply missed by Barbara, his wife of 62 years; children, David (Ann), Susan Ambrookian, Michael (Judy) and Sandra (Mike) Coit; grandchildren, Kelly, Derek, Tina, Megan, Lindsey, Sara and Sean; great-granddaughters, Alicia and Maggie; beloved sister, Joyce Lindeman and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by sisters, Charlotte Hass and Clara Knudson; brothers-in-law, Floyd Knudson, Frederick Hass and Douglas Lindeman; and son-in-law, Richard Ambrookian.
Visitation 1 hour prior to service.? Private interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.? In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Evergreen Club of the Twin Cities.
