Bruce A. Baird

Bruce Alan Baird, age 79, of Minnetonka, passed away from cancer on February 2, 2025. 

Bruce is preceded in death by his parents, Jean and Donald Baird. He is survived by Jeanne Perkins; beloved children, Ryan Baird (Anne) and Lauren Neubauer (Paul); and grandchildren, Haley, Amelia, William and Madeline. 

Bruce was born on June 27, 1945, in Santa Monica, California, where he grew up. He enjoyed 20 years of retirement with his love, Jeanne. In retirement, Bruce volunteered for many years at the Basilica of Saint Mary Outreach Ministry. He spent many happy winters in San Clemente, California, living on the ocean with Jeanne, surrounded by close friends. Bruce’s warm personality, dedication to family and close friends, infectious sense of humor and positive outlook will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.

The Funeral Mass will take place at the Basilica of Saint Mary, 88 N 17th St, Minneapolis on Thursday, February 13, at 2 p.m., with visitation one hour prior.

A burial will be held at a later date at the Fairhaven Cemetery in Santa Ana, California.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Bruce’s memory may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Outreach in care of the Basilica of St. Mary.
