Bradley J. Scott

Scott, Bradley J.

54 of Plymouth, MN the second “luckiest man on the face of the earth,” passed away June 2 after a courageous 15-year battle with multiple myeloma.

He was surrounded by his loving wife, Andrea; daughter, Jackie; and son, Greg. He was born on August 29, 1961 in Des Moines, IA, to parents M. Robert and Mary Ann Scott. His brother and sister-in-law David and Karen Scott of Minneapolis also survive him.

Brad graduated from the University of Iowa and had a distinguished 35-year career as an actuary. After finishing his actuarial exams in 1987, he earned his fellowship with the Society of Actuaries. Brad was a man of many skills. If he didn’t know how to do something, he learned through careful study and practice. His many interests and hobbies included playing the trombone in the University of Iowa marching band, singing, photography, astronomy, cocktail making, wine collecting, the list goes on…but most of all spending time with his devoted family.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm on Tuesday, June 7, with a short memorial service following. Gearty-Delmore Funeral Chapel, 15800 37th Ave. N., Plymouth, MN 55446.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Nature Conservancy (nature.org/membership-giving) or towards the Mayo Clinic’s multiple myeloma research program (philanthropy.mayoclinic.org/give or by mail to Mayo Clinic, Department of Development, 200 First Street SW, Rochester, MN 55905).
