Boyd Lyle Annis

Boyd Lyle Annis, age 87, of Plymouth, MN, passed away from natural causes on January 11, 2018, at his home.

Boyd was born on January 27, 1930 in Blue Earth County and raised in Forest City, MN.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, Ross and Frances Annis, and his 5 brothers and 2 sisters.

Boyd was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He is survived by his wife Elaine, his children Jean, Doug (Kathy) and Lisa (Jon) and their families of 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Boyd married Elaine Kersten in Kimball, MN, and was married 66 years. He served in the armed forces, stationed in Alabama before settling back in Minnesota and starting their family.

Boyd founded Boyd’s Custom Cabinets, a business built on his integrity and quality work, a legacy now carried on by his son. After retiring, he revived his passion for wood turning. He created many beautiful and cherished furniture and turned wood pieces and spent time teaching the trade to his grandchildren. Throughout his life, he was an avid outdoorsman, fishing and hunting whenever he had a chance.

He was loved by all who met him and is deeply missed.

Celebration of Life Services will be held 11:00 am Monday, Jan. 29, 2018 at Gearty- Delmore Funeral Chapel, 15800 37th Ave N (@ Vicksburg Lane) Plymouth, with visitation after 9:30 am. Interment will be private this Spring.
