Bernadeen Mary (Laures) Novack

August 22, 1933 -- March 16, 2025

91 years Old

Bernadeen Mary Novack, 91, died Sunday, March 16, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family.  She was born August 22, 1933, in New Hampton, IA, the daughter of Nicholas and Mary Loretta (Meighan) Laures.  She was the second of seven children.

She married Lawrence Leo Novack on November 30, 1962, in Minneapolis, MN, when she instantly became a mother of five children from Larry's previous marriage (Lucille).  Bernie helped keep the family together after Lucille's death and continued to build that beautiful family with Larry by adding six additional children.  Her constant example of faith and trust in God was always shown by the way she lived her life.  Although she worked at the VA Hospital in Minneapolis and later in life for Eitel Hospital in Minneapolis, her faith, husband Larry, and family were most important to her.

Bernie is preceded in death by her parents; brothers Don, Ray and Paul; sisters Agnes and Mary Jo; and son-in-law Al Schuler.

She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Larry; sister Regina (Ron) Gustas; children Mary Judith Schuler, James (Diane) Novack, John (Sue) Novack, Kathy (Bob) Bokusky, Lavonne (Matt) Theiler, Stephen (Mary) Novack, Robert (Stacy) Novack, Kenneth (Michelle) Novack, Diane (Cameron) Liebrenz, Denise (Bob) Brevig, and Jeff (Janel) Novack; 29 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; one great, great grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.

It is with heavy hearts that we must now hold her spiritually rather than physically, but may our beautiful Bernadeen rest in peace and may the perpetual light shine upon her.  Infant Jesus, bless and protect us.

Visitation will be from 10 -11 AM Thursday, April 3, with the Rosary being said during this time.  Funeral Mass at 11 AM with luncheon to follow at the Church of the Sacred Heart in Robbinsdale, MN.

Memorials may be made in Bernie's name to the Church of the Sacred Heart.
