Barbara Pekay

Barbara Pekay, 90, of Golden Valley, MN passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2025. She was born to Edwin and Anna Stjarnstrom on January 24, 1934, in Cleveland, OH.

Barb lived most of her life in Ohio, building her dream house in Chesterland with her husband of 40 years, Stan Pekay. In retirement, she moved with him to the Villages/Lady Lake, Florida area and the two of them traveled the US in their RV and took trips around the world.

Barb was a teacher by trade, a mother by passion, and a wife/daughter by love. She loved traveling and downhill skiing. She enjoyed connecting with people and being part of the conversation.

She is survived by her son, Lars and wife Juanita, grandchildren Trevor (wife Reggie) and Dylan, great grandson Elijah, and sister Lilly. Was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Anna, and her husband, Stan.

She will be remembered fondly by close friends Delia and Tony Paige.
