Kopp, Barbara G. 86, passed away peacefully on February 28th, 2023. She is preceded in death by her devoted husband Lee of 61 years. She is survived by sons Terry (Debbie) and Brian, daughters Debbie and Kristin, grandmother to 12 grandchildren Shaun (Erin), Angela (Bryce), Jennifer (Joe), Christopher, Matthew (Justina), Monica (John), Alex (Sam), Stephen, Gabriel, Peter, Henry and Leah, 18 great grandchildren; sister to loving siblings, brothers Wilbur (Judy), Colburn (Flo), sisters Elaine (Clem) and Marie. Brothers-in-law Bill (Connie), Ron, sister-in-law Pat, sister-in-law Donna (Owen) Kane, Aunt to many nieces and nephews, countless friends, devoted assistant Lindsey Lang, and loving caregivers Robin, Beth, Cathy, Toni and Barb G.
Barbara was born in Long Lake, New York on January 5th, 1937 daughter of Eva and Cloyd Black. She never forgot her humble upbringing. Barbara graduated from Long Lake High School and then went on to secretarial school in Washington D.C. where she met the love of her life, Lee. They were married in 1959. They subsequently moved to Minnesota where she devoted and dedicated her life to raising her four children. She was the best mother anyone could ask for. Barbara and Lee shared a love of golf and tennis. All those who knew her, knew her as a woman of tremendous kindness and generosity. She and her husband Lee were great philanthropists who established the Kopp Family Foundation in 1986. Through the Foundation they have touched countless lives. She will never be forgotten, and she will be truly missed.
Visitation Wednesday, March 8, 5-8 PM at Gearty-Delmore Plymouth Chapel, 15800 37TH Ave. N. Mass of Christian Burial 11: 00 AM Thursday, March 9 at The Church of St. Patrick, 6820 St. Patrick’s Ln., Edina. Visitation at church also one hour prior to Mass. Memorials preferred to N.C. Little Hospice, 7019 Lynmar Lane, Edina MN, 55435
