Our inspiration and dearly loved Barb, age 60, passed away August 31 st , 2019. Preceded in death by her loving parents, William and Mary (nee Forsch) Delaney.

Barb was a passionate student of engineering. Graduating from North Dakota State University in 1982. She carried her curiosity on to work for a variety of companies including Boeing, Honeywell, Xcel Energy and Cummins Power Generation. She was extremely proud of her contribution to the profession as one of very few lifelong female engineers.

Giving to others was an important part of Barb’s life, always paying it forward. She donated her time to many organizations, including STEM programs, North Dakota State University, The Lower Crow Wing Lake Association and the United Way.

Barb was an avid reader and lover of nature. She loved to laugh, seeking the good and funny in life, as well as everyone around her. Her wife, family and friends meant the world to her.

Barb is survived by her wife, Sarah Griffiths; five siblings, Kathy (Arthur) Lebow, Nancy (Phil) Hall, Patrice Delaney-Davies, Mark (Muffi) Delaney, Mary (Wayne) Carter; eight nieces and nephews, Allison, Adam, Cassie, Emily, Matthew, Rachael, Renee and Sam; along with many other extended family members and dear friends.

A remembrance service will be held on Tuesday September 10 th at 12:00 pm at Lakewood Cemetery Memorial Chapel, 3600 Hennepin Ave South, Mpls, with visitation ½ hour prior to service. A reception will follow the service at the Lakewood Garden Mausoleum.

Private interment Lakewood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the American Brain Tumor Association.
