Arnie was born on July 12th 1938. He grew up in Minneapolis and continued to reside around the area his entire life. Arnie was dealt a difficult hand in life. His childhood was hard at times and he was diagnosed with MS when he was only 26. None of these things ever stopped him from reaching his full potential. He was married right out of high school and raised 5 wonderful children. He served in the military, and went back to school all while juggling work and children. He graduated from the University of St. Thomas with a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science in 1975 and worked as a computer programmer at Control Data until he retired. Arnie always had a way of embracing life and taking each new challenge in his stride. He was very active in the MS society, and could always be counted on to show up to most gatherings with some sort of crazy hat or shirt to make everyone laugh. He was always easy to please with some Barbequed ribs, a competitive round of UNO, or simply being surrounded by his children and grandchildren. His children will always remember his quick wit, mischievous smile, and good humor. His resilience and good nature in the face of his struggle will forever provide an example to live by.
