Arlene Klucas, (n ée Boelter) passed away peacefully on December 29, 2017 after 93 years of a full life. She now joins her husband, Everett, so they can continue their dance together.
Arlene was born in 1924 and grew up in Bismarck, ND. She married Everett in 1946. They moved to Golden Valley and raised five children: Kathy & Dick, Kevin, Patti, & Steve.
She never considered herself a leader, yet she was always the head of every organization she belonged to--The North Hennepin Artists Association, the American Legion Auxiliary, and many more. Arlene saw everything with an artistic eye. She could make a birch tree appear on a canvas with a palate knife and a little paint. Her oil paintings are in many homes and office buildings, and a few murals on remain on walls. She was in the Uptown Art Fair for many years starting from the show's second year. Many people admired her work, took her card, and called her to commission a painting.
After raising their five children, Arlene and Everett moved to Lower Cullen Lake in Nisswa where they enjoyed their retirement for almost 30 years. After moving to Nisswa, Arlene and Everett became very involved in the American Legion. They had many friends and she loved to entertain company, have parties, dance, or just visit with their many friends. No one could not walk into the house without being offered food or drink. She loved to laugh and had fun with everyone.
Preceded in death by her husband, Everett; all but one of her brothers and sisters; she will be missed by many including her sister, Bev; her children: Kathy (Terry), Dick (Jonna), Kevin (Karen), Patti, and Steve (Kim); 15 grandchildren: Lisa (Jamie), Sheila (Pat), Leah (Alex), Michelle (Bernie), Alanna (Josh), Lacey (Tony), Amber, Alexa, Ashley (Bruce), Clare (Neil), Tim (Kaycie), Patrick, Michael, Nikki, Jake; 15 great grandchildren: Chelsea (Tulio), Josh (Brandi), Cara, Miranda, Chloe, Justin, Sam, Tori, Spencer, Ryan, Madilyn, Elijah, Serena, Marcy, Chase; and 2 really great grandchildren: Jackson, & Ethan; and many friends.
