Anthony "Tony" John Friendshuh

Anthony J. Friendshuh, faithful and loving husband, committed father of two amazing sons passed away suddenly and unexpectedly of a heart attack on the morning of Wednesday, December 23 rd .  He was only 50 years old.

Tony lived life large.  He was a passionate soul and poured everything he had into whatever he was doing at the time.  His top priorities were spreading the Gospel of Jesus to others as well as being Protector and Provider to his family.

Tony was born on January 10 th , 1970 in Shakopee, MN and grew up in Marystown.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents Claud and Mary Ann Friendshuh and Wilmar and Marge Radermacher, his uncle Joe Friendshuh and his cousins Laurie Trulson and Nathan Lindmeyer.  Tony preceded his loving wife Nancy, his two sons Benjamin (19) and Dominic (17), his parents Ken and Carol Friendshuh, his brothers Chris (Janet), Ted (Jodi), Dan, Andrew (Mandy) and Eddie (Sarah).  He was the “fun” uncle to many nieces and nephews, had tons of cousins and was best friend to countless many others.

Tony served honorably in the U.S. Army starting in 1991.  He was also an incredible Warrior in God’s Army and was a mentor, encourager, role model, leader, and motivator to not only his sons but ALL who knew him.  He was a Prayer Warrior on the River Valley Church Prayer Team in Minnetrista.  Tony was an incredibly talented and smart businessman and was blessed with the ability to create trusting relationships with anyone he met.  All he ever wanted to do was lift people up and help them see their own God given potential, talents and abilities.

Tony was a sales manager at Ashco Exteriors and felt blessed to have the job he did.  He was larger than life and had many passions: fishing, hunting, jet-skiing, snowmobiling, taking care of his many African Cichlid fish and of course, above all God and his family.  When not working long, hard hours, Tony could be found jet-skiing on Lake Minnetonka in the summer months, snowmobiling in Minnesota, Wyoming, Wisconsin or Michigan in the winter months as well as hunting or fishing in the Mountains of Colorado the past couple of years.  When he was not able to do any of these things, he could be found tinkering on projects in the garage or basement with his sons Benjamin and Dominic.  He will be missed beyond imagination.

Visitation for Tony will be Saturday, January 2, 2021 from 10 AM to 12 Noon at River Valley Church-Minnetrista Campus, 5595 Westwood Ave., Mound.  The service will follow at 12 Noon.
