Annabel "Ann" Jordan

Annabel (Ann) Jordan, age 85, of Crystal, MN passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on October 8, 2017.  Ann was born 0n February 14, 1932, in Jeffers, MN, to Earl and Margaret (Backus) Vandermoon.

Ann graduated from Jeffers High School, where she was voted homecoming queen, and then moved to Minneapolis with her sister, Mona.  Upon arriving in Minneapolis Ann worked at Honeywell and she and her sister met two brothers who they fell in love with and married.

Rich and Ann were united in marriage on May 8, 1954, in Jeffers, MN.  They moved to Crystal, where they raised their four children: Cheryl, David, Susan and Raymond.

Ann was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who enriched the lives of those who knew her.  She made everyone feel welcome as evidenced by the many friends and relatives who enjoyed visiting and playing cards with her.  In her spare time, Ann enjoyed reading, volunteering for the church, school and at the nursing home.  Ann cherished family gatherings and holidays, conversations around the dinner table and spending many precious moments with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She will be remembered for her kindness, love for playing cards, and her delicious banana bread and pies.

We will miss her and her beautiful smile dearly.
