Angeline K. Bartlett, age 96 of Golden Valley.
She is survived by daughters, Shane (Steve) Holonitch, Camille A. Hetman & Elizabeth Bartlett (Ken Greening); grandchildren, Carrie Anne Claypatch (Jerry Brownrigg) and Anita (Jeremy)Johnson; Thomas (Anna) Bartlett and Paul (Jordan) Bartlett: great-grandchildren, Noli Bartlett and another on the way.
Angie is preceded in death by husband, Rodger Bartlett' son, Gary Bartlett and daughter, Kim Bartlett.
Angie was born on the family farm in Holdingford, MN. She was the remaining child of 9 siblings of the Hetman family. Angie moved to Minneapolis at age 16 and graduated from West High School in 1940. She attended Minneapolis School of Business and Minneapolis School of Art and Design. Angie moved to Seattle, WA where she worked at Boeing Airlines and later for the US Dept. of Agriculture. She was a volunteer at the USO where she met Rodger. They were married in 1945 in Seattle; after the war ended they returned to the Midwest and chose Minnesota to raise their family of 5 children.
Angie maintained her own home until 2014. Her independence was extremely important to her. Her family is grateful to the staff at Meadow Ridge Memory Care for providing her with loving care in her beautiful apartment in addition to Interim Home Hospice Care. Angie will be remembered for her “sweetness”, unconditional love of family, and joy of homemaking. She was known for her artistic talent, her quick wit and her unending kindness. Angie remains present in the hearts of all who loved her.
